Matchmoves
Matchmoving is something I am quite new to. However after spending around 2 months in Boujou I feel really confident with it.
This is my most recent match move that was a test for something bigger and better. Little Animals is still in pre production and is a concept for a kid's tv program. All rights belong to Studio Distract, the company I am currently on placement with.
Forgive the animation errors, these were just minor things whilst placing the premade 3D animation over the matchmove. The next matchmove will be slightly more tricky with 3D different shots for the same scene. This is something that I'm confident will look amazing. Watch this space.

This matchmove was simply to test if it was possible to track a full 360 degree rotation. It had to be split in to two halves and solved using an .obj of the table with a user/vertex based solve. The two cameras were then pieced together in Maya and composited in After Effects.
There is a slight slip towards the end which is enhanced due to an mistake with the ambient occlusion. This could have been tidied up if required but the test was already succesful and as a result deemed complete.
